Risku or Solju

A Risku or Solju is a piece of jewelry from the Sami people in the northern parts of Sweden, Finland, Norway and Russia. It was a symbol of the sun in a place that gets dark for 24 hours a day part of the year. It is a lovely symbol and piece of jewelry.

It is worn as Ceremonial Dress and I have also noticed female Scandanavian musicians wearing it. I am going to make one in the next month or so.
